Download Today to Volunteer with Bahamas Methodist Habitat! The Bahamas Conference of the Methodist Church (BCMC), in partnership with interdenominational groups, has been providing disaster relief to the Islands of the Bahamas since 1992, when Hurricane Andrew devastated many communities throughout the islands. Today, Bahamas Methodist Habitat continues these efforts and avidly seeks new ways to assist individuals and communities in need. We realize that we are all poor in different areas of our own lives; some poor in finances and others poor in spirit. We also realize that together we can connect real needs to real resources by sharing God’s love. Our goal is to do this through Disaster Relief and Sub-standard Housing Repair by offering a life changing volunteer experience that will introduce you to a new way of living out your Christian faith.
Please join us in our efforts to bring the lives of our Bahamian brothers and sisters to a higher standard while having you heart, mind, soul and eyes opened to a new lifestyle. A lifestyle that is full of family, friends, a relaxed pace, commitment to our God, lots of laughs and big hugs. We know that you will leave BMH a changed person, ready to serve in your own community. We look forward to serving with you soon.

”My experience of the Bahamas was truly inspirational. I expected it to be like other mission trips, but this was better. The staff treat you like family and make sure you feel welcome. The islanders wave and greet you as you walk by. My work team worked at camp for the majority of the week and really got to see the beauty of Camp Symonette. This camp is such a gift to the island children and to the community. I will never forget my experiences here in Eleuthera. I will forever carry these memories close to my heart. Thank you for a wonderful week.”
